Clause overview

Clauses are basic building blocks of Maata they are used to collect ideas in long form they don't exceed 550 characters,where they are above those characters they are no longer a clause they became a Bill .

Clause features

These are main characteristics of a clause

  1. Clause is a long form of text.
  2. Clause content doesn't exceed 550 characters.
  3. Clause can be public or private.
  4. Clause has a short description describing the actual clause content.
  5. Clause has a name which is a one or two words summary of the clause content.

Create clause

Clause new From the image above you can create a clause in multiple ways:

  1. From a specific deployment/ consultation you create a clause using thecreate clause button down on the clauses tab.
  2. From a quick action on deployment page

You have to fill out the clause creation form and save it .

  • name: is a summarized clause content is few word not more than 4
  • content: is the actual full content of a clause which doesn't exceed 250 characters
  • description: is a description of clause content
  • open: this is to control who you want to view your clause
  • auth: this is to control if a user has to own account or not to view the clause being created

View clause

Clause View a clause you will see a clause in full details with all its meta data.

Edit clause

You can edit a clause in various: Clause edit

  1. From the clause view there is an edit button .
  2. From the clause settings there is an edit button

Once you reach the page you adjust the clause as needed and save those changes

Clause settings

The clause settings page control clause in general from knowing the creator , to deleting the clause. Clause setting From settings you get all the interactions around a clause such as comments, huddles, votes, attachments, endorsements ,...

Delete clause

You can delete a clause , with all the required credentials. Clause setting

NB : This is an irreversible process procede with caution

Clause actions

This is a clause quick action menu , where you can start interaction around a clause using:

  1. Endorsements: this enables to give a clause an endorsement
  2. Comments: this enables to give a clause a comment
  3. Votes: this enables to give a clause a vote
  4. Huddles: this enables to give a clause a huddle
  5. Attachments: this enables to give a clause an attachment
