Vote overview

Votes are basic building blocks of Maata they are used to collect ideas in short form they don't exceed 250 characters.

Vote features

These are main characteristics of a vote

  1. Vote is a short form of text.
  2. Vote content doesn't exceed 250 characters.
  3. Vote can be public or private.
  4. Vote has a short description describing the actual vote content.
  5. Vote has a name which is a one or two words summary of the vote content.

Create vote

Vote new From the image above you can create a vote in multiple ways:

  1. From a specific deployment/ consultation you create a vote using thecreate vote button down on the votes tab.
  2. From a quick action on deployment page

You have to fill out the vote creation form and save it .

  • name: is a summarized vote content is few word not more than 4
  • content: is the actual full content of a vote which doesn't exceed 250 characters
  • description: is a description of vote content
  • open: this is to control who you want to view your vote
  • auth: this is to control if a user has to own account or not to view the vote being created

View vote

Vote View a vote you will see a vote in full details with all its meta data.

Edit vote

You can edit a vote in various: Vote edit

  1. From the vote view there is an edit button .
  2. From the vote settings there is an edit button

Once you reach the page you adjust the vote as needed and save those changes

Vote settings

The vote settings page control vote in general from knowing the creator , to deleting the vote. Vote setting From settings you get all the interactions around a vote such as comments, huddles, votes, attachments, endorsements ,...

Delete vote

You can delete a vote , with all the required credentials. Vote setting

NB : This is an irreversible process procede with caution

Vote actions

This is a vote quick action menu , where you can start interaction around a vote using:

  1. Endorsements: this enables to give a vote an endorsement
  2. Comments: this enables to give a vote a comment
  3. Votes: this enables to give a vote a vote
  4. Huddles: this enables to give a vote a huddle
  5. Attachments: this enables to give a vote an attachment
